A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides access to ShareSeer's comprehensive SEC filings, insider transactions, and financial data through Claude and other MCP-compatible AI assistants. ๐ Quick Start Claude (web, desktop, or mobile) No API key needed โ you sign in with your ShareSeer account. 1. Go to **Settings โ Connectors โ Add custom connector**. 2. Enter the server URL https://shareseer.com/mcp and click **Continue**. 3. Claude detects **Sign in now** โ leave it selected and click **Add**. 4. Click **Connect** and approve the request. Claude receives a token scoped to your account that refreshes on its own. You can disconnect at any time without affecting your API key. If you don't have a ShareSeer account yet, sign up free at shareseer.com/signup โ you'll be prompted to sign in during step 4. Claude Code and other MCP clients Clients that prefer a static credential can pass your API key as a header instead. Get the key from your profile page (it starts with sk-shareseer-). Or in your project's .mcp.json: The server accepts authorization, x-api-key, api-key, and x-auth-token, so whichever header name your client offers will work. An Authorization value must include the Bearer prefix; x-api-key takes the bare key. ๐ Available Tools Company Information - **get_company_info** - Get basic information about a company by ticker symbol - **get_company_filings** - Get recent SEC filings for a specific company - **get_insider_transactions** - Get insider trading transactions for a company Market-Wide Data - **get_recent_filings** - Get recent SEC filings across all companies - **get_recent_insider_activity** - Get recent insider trading activity Largest Transactions - **get_largest_daily_transactions** - Get largest daily insider transactions (buyers or sellers) - **get_largest_weekly_transactions** - Get largest weekly insider transactions (buyers or sellers) ๐ REST API A REST API is available at https://shareseer.com/api/v1 for programmatic access.
