Blogger board

Who recommends tools that actually resolve to an entry in the catalogue

This board does not rank who mentions the most tools; it ranks whose mentions we can actually resolve. A blogger who points at 50 tools of which 45 are in the catalogue is more trustworthy than one who points at 10 of which 2 are - so the order carries a hit-rate correction: score = tools hit × hit-rate correction × heat factor, where the correction is hits ÷ (hits + misses + 20). That is a lower bound, so a blogger with one lucky mention does not lead the board.

Source: the official Hacker News Algolia API (1,590 stories) and 1015 newsletter/RSS feeds (1,218 links). Method: the official API and the published feeds only; we store an excerpt and a link back, never the article.

Updated: hourly, in the same batch as the rest of the site. Last run 2026-10-17 10:05 UTC. This run holds 2,808 mentions, 141 matches and 7 distinct tools; 5,305 mentions could not be matched and went to a manual queue rather than being guessed. 132 commercial/affiliate links, labelled on the row.

Score = tools hit × hit-rate correction × heat factor; correction = hits ÷ (hits + misses + 20); heat = log(1+avg engagement) ÷ log(1+100) for HN points; newsletters carry no engagement signal, so that factor is 1.

This board ranks whose mentions resolve to a tool we actually have, so the hit rate is corrected: score = tools hit × hit-rate correction × heat factor, correction = hits ÷ (hits + misses + 20). Mentions that resolve to nothing are queued for review rather than guessed. 另有 5,305 条提及没能匹配上库里的条目,它们没有参与排序,也没有被猜成某个工具。

Who most often points at a tool we do not have

Not a quality ranking: it is the worklist of whose material would pay off first if the catalogue were widened. More unresolved mentions means more to gain from ingesting them.
